Hi Brandi, Your writing is real and raw, and I appreciate it very much. We too have Iris flowers that are ready for spring, and as we just purchased our first home, we are excited to see spring come up for the first time. As a woman without children at 39, I appreciate you giving me an idea that you were able to conceive around my age, and it has given me hope still! Thank you! Yes, hormones are quite a pain, and Lent sure makes it all the more raw. Thinking of you in this time of rawness. I too miss my dad but yes, love knows no bounds. 🌹

Thank you, Bobbi, for your generous words. ❤️ Congratulations on the new home! You never know what will come with a new-to-you house, and it's extra special to see what a growing season will bring, so I'm excited for you! In fact, we never know what any season will bring ... You are in my thoughts during this time, too. Love indeed knows no bounds - and God works with that. ❤️

I was captivated by this reflection! Just beautiful! There's more to be said I'm sure but I don't have the words.

Beautifully written. I often find myself sadly envious of people who grieve like this over the loss of a parent. But I also know in the resurrection all things will be made new including my complicated, tense relationship with my father and our reunion will be in the love of Christ.

Steve, your feelings are completely normal and understable. And I look forward to the same thing, with other people I love but with whom our earthly relationship is strained, damaged, painful ... "For now we see in a mirror, darkly ..." I think in that reunion that we'll see the very best of them, the fullness of who they are without distortion, and be utterly overcome that we will have the same qualities to them, too. I can't even begin to imagine such joy. Thank you for putting those thoughts into words; you are not alone.
